The Master Singers - James Boulter

James Boulter, baritone, is an assistant professor at UW-Eau Claire, where he teaches chemistry and performs research with undergraduates related to the chemistry of ice particles in the atmospheres of earth and other planets. Both he and his wife, soprano Christine Emerson, graduated from Pacific Lutheran University and he later earned his Ph.D. in analytical chemistry from the University of Colorado at Boulder. This is his fifth season singing with The Master Singers. He also enjoys directing the chancel choir at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Strum, where Christine serves as pastor. In addition to singing, he is a trumpet player and has extensive performing experience with ensembles such as the Longmont Symphony, Allegro Brass Quintet, Seattle Gilbert and Sullivan Society, Boulder Concert Band, Seattle's Philharmonia Northwest, and Colorado Mahlerfest Orchestra.
