The Master Singers - Dick Hazelton

Dick Hazelton, board member, is a member of the Chancel Choir
at First Congregational UCC since 1996, and is a trumpet/cornet/flugelhorn musician who played in the 604th Air Force Band for three years during the Korean Conflict. Following the war, he returned to Wisconsin State College at Eau Claire where he sang in the Concert Choir under Caldwell Johnson and played in the band under Bob Gantner. Dick graduated with a BS degree in Music Education in 1958 when he began a teaching career in high school bands and choirs. Following 16 years in music education, he worked for 20 years selling popcorn and candy in fund raising. He is married to Jean (Quella), has two sons and two grandsons. Currently, Dick is enjoying retired life while remaining active in the Chippewa Valley music scene.
