The Master Singers - Gary Steffenhagen
Gary Steffenhagen, tenor, is eagerly looking forward
to his third year with The Master Singers. He
sang several years with the Wausau Lyric
Choir
before moving to and retiring in Eau Claire. For 34
years he was
vocal music director in the Wausau
Middle Schools and served as Worship
Coordinator/organist at St. Peter Lutheran
Church, Schofield. He received his Bachelor of
Science degree in Music Education at the
University of Minnesota, where he also studied
organ. He received a Masters degree in Music
Education from the University of Wisconsin-
Stevens Point. Gary is
a member of the American
Guild of Organists and serves on the local board. At
St. Mark Lutheran Church, Eau Claire, he currently
serves as one of the organists, co-directs Worship
Choir and sings in the Chamber Choir. He and his
wife, Rita, have three sons and one granddaughter.
