The Master Singers - Gary Steffenhagen

Gary Steffenhagen, tenor, is enjoying his fifth year with The Master Singers. He sang several years with the Wausau Lyric Choir before moving to and retiring in Eau Claire. For 34 years he was vocal music director in the Wausau Middle Schools and served as Worship Coordinator/organist at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Schofield. He received music degrees from University of Minnesota-Minneapolis and University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. Gary is active in the local chapter of the American Guild of Organists (AGO). Currently, he is preparing for the colleague exam for the AGO. At St. Mark Lutheran Church, Eau Claire, he serves as one of the organists and co-directs the Worship Choir. Gary and his wife, Rita, have three sons, one granddaughter, and one grandson.
