The Master Singers - Gary Steffenhagen
Gary Steffenhagen, tenor, recently moved to Eau Claire and is
eagerly looking forward to his second year with the Master Singers. He
sang several years with the Wausau Lyric Choir. For 34 years he was
vocal music director in the Wausau Middle Schools and served as
Worship Coordinator/organist at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Schofield.
He received his Bachelor of Science degree in music education at the University of Minnesota, where he also studied organ under Dr. Heinrich Fleischer. From UW-Stevens Point, he received a Masters Degree in
music education. Gary is a member of the American Guild of Organists.
At St. Mark Lutheran Church, Eau Claire, he currently serves as one of
the organists, co-directs Worship Choir and sings in the Chamber Choir.
He and his wife, Rita, have three sons.
